Over the past decade, we’ve seen a societal shift with more and more people seeking authenticity in everything. We have seen influencers begin to share more of the “messy” bits of life, organic and tox-free living has increased drastically, and we’ve even witnessed “clean” fast food become more popular.

Among this shift has come a desire for wedding imagery that feels real. Less posed and more emotional… The question is, how can this imagery be achieved?

Step #1- Choose a wedding photographer that captures these images well

This may be an obvious one or it may not be, but being intentional with the photographer you choose is SO important. There are a bajillion wedding photographers out there all boasting unique styles. Make sure you are choosing an artist that has a portfolio FULL of these unposed, organic moments.

Step #2- Build down time into your timeline

Allowing space to interact with guests, take in the details of your day, and really let the emotions sink in- is absolutely crucial when desiring those candid images.

Step #3- Allocate time to spend together

This may be another one that sounds silly, but trust me when I tell you that I have seen so many couples struggle to find time for one another because their so distracted by the chaos and excitement the day can bring. So this serves as your friendly reminder to hang with your SPOUSE! And we will capture all of the cuteness that comes with it : )

Step #4- Be present and intentional with your guests

Chances are, your guests absolutely adore you both and want to spend time with you! Take the time to have conversations with them, hug them, and toast with them. Dance the night away with them by your side!
